Sara’s Sweets was founded by Sara Anderson. A former math teacher, Sara started the business as a hobby in the summer of 2012 as a way to keep busy. From there, it grew into a full-blown passion and a love affair with cupcakes began. The whole process–from developing new flavors, mixing the batter, and finishing it off with a swirl of icing–is so much fun.
Sara’s Sweets opened its storefront in December 2015. We offer 8-10 cupcake varieties daily, along with 8-10 cookie and brownie varieties daily.
We bake only what we plan to sell for the day, to minimize waste and ensure freshness. Unfortunately, that means sometimes we do sell out of particular flavors or items! We highly recommend calling to reserve your order if you won’t be able to make it until the end of the day. Any leftovers are donated to area non-profits, charities, or missions.
In addition to our daily sweets, we also provide cupcakes, cookies, and small custom cakes for weddings and other events. If you need more than a couple dozen cupcakes, a custom cake, or are looking at getting specific flavors, we’re happy to take preorders and help make your event a success.
